We recognize that no meaningful teaching or learning can occur in a chaotic environment. Accordingly,we set and maintain high behavioral standards in the hostel and the classrooms. These standards are set out in the Students' Code of Conduct, a copy of which will be given to each student on resumption
The third Sunday of every month is visiting day and parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to spend the day with their children to learn about their well-being and progress. The House Staff are on ground and parents/guardians are expected to discuss the welfare of their child/ward with them. We will appreciate any feedback regarding the visiting day Visiting Hours : 12 noon - 5:00pm If the third Sunday happens to fall on a week after resumption or a week to the close of term, for the sake of convenience,Visiting Day will not be observed.
At VCC, we believe that parental involvement is crucial for academic success and want parents/guardians to be actively involved in their children's/wards' learning efforts. We therefore devote one day - "An Open Day" - once in a term where parents and guardians are invited to meet with the teachers to follow up on their child's academic progress. It is always an interactive session of the teachers, parents and the students. Dates are available on the school calendar and newsletter.
Parents/Guardians may be invited for special meetings with school officials to discuss major concerns about their child/ward. Such invitations should be honoured promptly. We will appreciate full cooperation on such occasions.
Students are expected back in school on resumption dates and within the time stipulated. While they are expected to remain in school till closing dates. When there are genuine reasons for noncompliance, parents should seek school approval ahead of those dates. No approval will be given for students to attend any family social function.
Boys are to be on even low haircut while the girls weave/plait their hair without any attachment or extension. Haircut and Hairdo are done in the respective hostels on weekends. Each boy is expected to come to school with a functional clipper for haircut.
Provisions are not allowed to be brought into the school by students. There is a functional tuckshop from where students are served snacks daily. Students are not allowed to handle cash. Pocket money is paid into the school account termly from which students draw down.
